Radiators
The photos show a radiator for a heavy goods vehicle. A copper-brass connection has to be brazed. A flux-free brazing alloy in a nitrogen atmosphere is recommended.
We recommend BrazeTec CST 600 as the brazing alloy. This has a melting range between 600 and 610°C.
The optimum brazing temperature is 630°C. Brazing should be carried out in a continuous furnace in a nitrogen atmosphere.
When using a continuous furnace with an inert gas atmosphere or the vacuum furnace, no flux is required.
BrazeTec CST 600 has been specially developed for copper to brass brazing on radiators (CuproBraze - process).
